You do cosy so well Mary. I have all my layers of clothing and a cardigan my sister bought me which comes up round the back of my neck which, funnily enough is where I really feel the cold most.

Here's what I've just about finished doing, apart from sitting chatting on here most of the afternoon.

I've never bought rubber stamps that had to be cut to size, not even sure how to stick it either. I'll give it a go and see what happens. I was so worried about cutting into the stamp because, as I've said before, I'm not very good at this fussy cutting.

I wrote a message but it's gone, so before I pack in here's the result of the stamping. I used Tombow glue to attach the stamp to an acrylic block and used Versafine ink and I am amazed at how well it has come out, especially since I stamped it and I am absolutely rubbish at stamping or was until I got my precision press. I love this poppy design, just have to colour it now, something else I'm not very good at. I may stamp it a few times in case it's a fluke or I'm just on a roll. Trust me, I am not saying how bad I am to get compliments, I truly am hopeless at stamping. The key to these stamps is cutting as close to the design as you can but that in itself was nerve wracking.

Thank you Mary. I have just stamped the image 5 more times and each time it has come out beautifully crisp and clear, I am staggered to be honest. I've done 6 in total on 3 different types of card stock as I want to try watercolour inks and see which paper works best for this.

Hubby has just asked me if I'd like him to put the oven on as we haven't eaten yet. I think that's a hint.

Sorry Denise, I missed your photo.
    Was it a poisonous snake?
I once handled a big snake in Florida, and was surprised how warm it was.
Not cold and slimy like I imagined.

Mary, you look so warm and cosy all wrapped up like that.
Lovely photo of your DD and Son in Law.
Lovely patterns too. Very clever to make your own.

    Susie, like the stamps.
Beautiful impressions they made, and very precise cutting, well done.
I always find cutting rubber stamps very tiring , makes your fingers ache if you
use scissors. If you can use a craft knife it’s easier. I’m not good with a craft knife.
Or any knives really. DH always looks away when I use a knife, says I make him nervous

That’s a gorgeous stamp Susie, and it’s come out really well. Colouring in is the fun bit, I’m sure you’ll be fine

Ooooo I can smell it from here
    Looks lovely Sandra.

Elaine, that’s not like you, you are usually so organised!
Hope you are not too cold. Is the oil coming today?

I have been searching for a love photo. I know I’ve got it somewhere,
    but where I don’t know!!
The trouble with looking for an old photo, is that you get distracted by other
photos, and then go off in a different direction altogether!
    I Will find it !!!!!!

Put those two activities together and it’s my kind of day, curled up cosy in front of the fire, with a freshly baked cake and a cuppa

Hope you have heating again soon elaine x
