Mary, isn't it hard work. As you say, you need a different box or something just the right size or whatever. At least you are getting there and I will bit by bit but it is going to be a long job.

I'm gradually changing my stash into even sized clear plastic boxes. As soon as one doesn't fit the bill I buy a new one..I get them in HC and only bay a couple a month at about 3 each so it doesn't break the bank..and as mine are labelled (!) it is easy to find what I need.
This is the shelving unit I have done.

This is the 'to do' side..I loathe and detest it so I'm going to get a few more of the white IKEA boxes and replace they 'pretty' yet impractical ones with new white ones...it's making my (mild) OCD twitch!

Fabulous reflections from the doorknobs Elaine and well spotted.

Oh Ellie, that is only a fraction of what I have. That lower shelf is full of Martha Stewart punches which I don't use so often these days because of the dies but time and again I do go back to them. Once I've finished this last shelf on the bookcase I will start on the shelves above the 4 units full of paper and card stock. Two of them are scrapbook papers alone. I need to do this because I can't persuade hubby that I should have the spare bedroom, it's a double and I could put it to better use for my craft. It also has the afternoon light which I need because by the time I get up in the winter the daylight has gone from the front of the house but he's just plain mean!

Well done on the gardening Elaine. I need to walk the dogs next and then give the gas fire that clean out because it keeps switching itself off. It is only dust from the dogs that has got into the jets as they lie with their mucky heads on the hearth and it suck everything in.

Oh good grieF Elaine, your to do side is better than my done side! I like all your boxes though, they're pretty. I want something that is easy access like the pen storage. That is just a box turned on its side with cardboard as bases for the pens. I saw it on Pinterest and because the hotel lost the lid of the box it was useless, this was when I sent some of my niece's wedding stuff to the hotel and the lid went missing. That is easy to reach in and take out a pen, especially once I've colour coded everything.

What I really want is something I can pull out a remove things easily. I don't want much that is open because of the amount of dust I create in this room, although once it is tidied perhaps I will be able to keep it clean more easily.

I've just take a photo of some of my scrapbook papers, I'm happy with these drawers. They're not pretty but very functional and keep the papers lovely and flat. I need to either colour co-ordinate them or something. At present, one is for Christmas papers, another for Wedding another kiddies etc... Photo is a bit wonky because I have that much stuff in the way I can't get a decent photo.

They all had little handles on them so you could label each drawer but I found they came loose so bit by bit I am removing the handles, you don't need them and I know what is in each drawer funnily enough. It's only if I start tidying that I lose track of what I have.

Very impressive collection of papers Susie. You could set up shop

Elaine, can I come and live in your craft room.
I would only need a cup of tea occasionally
    All those lovely KC products

Lol. You’re welcome to stay Ellie!
I love those little drawers. I could use them for card but I have a system that I am happy with. I don’t like my papers lying flat as it’s too much rummaging so mine are stored vertically.

By the way.. I can’t remember if I said but I’ve resigned from Merly Impressions so I won’t have as much KC anymore. It was taking up so much time and she’s been sending me Graphic 45 recently which I loathe so I have had enough... but not before I’d hammered my Design Team discount of course. My last project for them goes live on Monday

Oh sorry to hear that Elaine. I know it can get a bit much, with all the
other things in life, you have to do.
Over the years DD has had to resign from some, because life gets in the way.
Glad you got plenty of stash though.

Well that's one walk done and it is only just going dark. So time for a drink and then I'll crack on with some tidying. I have a pile of those small RUB's but I'm not sure they are much use.

I hope you've stocked up on your favourite KC papers Elaine. I've never been a fan of Graphic 45 so I can understand you not wanting to work with it.

Ellie, I think we all want to move into Elaine's craft room. Yes, I do have a lot of papers but I need to get using them. I made a start last year on the wedding album but I think if I get this room sorted out now over the next month say, by the time the light nights are here I will be able to really get some crafting done. The knitting has taken up some time too but I usually only knit in the winter so we'll see what happens with that.

I've just sorted the ribbons into the new holder and it takes about 60 spools. It's not ideal but it will do for now. Right, off to clean the fire now this will destroy my back as it means kneeling and bending forward at the same time, never a good combination.
