Oh yes, get the needles out Ellie, but don't pick a pattern like I have. I am just knitting the buttonhole row and yet again the pattern is wrong. If I follow it when it says rib 11 I end up with far too many stitches. In the end I had to rib 14 and make one the cast off but it took me a while to work it out. Of course, now the next row is wrong too so I will just have to wing it. Hubby is terrified to speak at present. Sometime the patterns are just badly worded but this is actually wrong and I had to work it out on paper in the end to get it right. Mind you, my halo is beaming as hubby said I must have the patience of a saint to undo it over and over again. If he'd heard me cursing under my breath he wouldn't have said that.

Oh no!! I wouldn’t be able to work that out.
You must have a lot of patience.

I’m so tired tonight ,I’m going to bed early.
I’ve still got a sore throat and a cough, so annoying.

I did have a cross stitch that took me, what seemed forever, it was one of those where you mixed the threads up and it had lots of trees! Although thinking about it, I think I passed it on or it went to a boot sale, I don't remember finishing it as it did drive me nuts lol

Oh Denise, don't you hate it when that happens or, as I tend to do, close the site down without actually having posted the message. So annoying! Happy New Year anyway.

I finished the making up, apart from the buttons which I can't find and the rosebuds which I still don't have.

I've got a half finished cross stitch attempt Sarah and it is only basic, yours sounded very complicated. It is a good idea to pass them on as someone will enjoy finishing it off.

Oooh we get new prompts tomorrow, can't wait to see what Nat comes up with.

I have some unfinished tapestry’s Sarah. I think most of us have some
    unfinished things

Must look at the new card prompts tomorrow.
I love this challenge. It makes me make cards. I have quite a stack now.

Susie have you tried John Lewis for buttons and rosebuds.
They are usually good for those things.

Happy New Year to you all.

Morning all. HNY to everyone. Looking forward to the new prompts but just time to squeeze one more grey card in that I made a couple of days ago.
In answer to your question Alison, I do all my swaps in October and November so I have them done well in advance. I'm not a 'leave it to the last minute' person..I can't take the stress! Lol

Super card Elaine, what a perfect finishing touch those three pearls make.

Happy New Year to everyone. Having decided we wouldn't stay up for the NY, we went to bed at 3am having sat watching Victoria Wood and having such a good laugh - what a talent! Two Soups and Is It On the Trolley? have to be our two favourite sketches of all time.
