    Found one!
It was taken on Sept 1st, so just in the month, when I was in Berlin.
I don't think I've posted it before, but apologies if I have.
It's a sort of monument. It's the concert hall, lit up at night.

    Handsome building Ellie
Lovely painting Susie..very special of your cat.
I have Miss A here and she's watching TV as a treat as I'm shattered as I had to go and sort Mum out again this morning. She's fallen again and has broken her right arm this time. Talk about poor timing! (Not that there's ever a good time) but I could have done without this right now. I think she's going to manage just to spite us..I suggested extra care etc but she has refused..so all we can do is little things to help her and leave her to it.

Stunning photo Ellie, I love the blue lighting.

Oh Elaine, so sorry for your mum and you! You really could do without that at the moment but that's the way these things happen, all at once. It simply doesn't give you any breathing space does it.

Elaine, sorry to hear about your mom. Poor woman, she has been in the wars!
Not good for you though. You will have to be careful that you look after
yourself. It will be no good to anyone if you become unwell.
I feel for you, it's not easy looking after an elderly parent, especially if they
are as independent, or stubborn as your mom seems to be.
Do you know why she won't have any other help. It makes it hard on you.
I know with my Dad ,in the end we had to gently insist that he go into care,
because I just couldn't be there 24 hrs a day, and he kept falling.
He didn't like it, but I think he came to the same conclusion.
    Look after yourself.
    Ellie x

sorry it is rather dark it was getting towards the end of the day.

I know this isn't a statue or an iconic building but it is a structure so going to put it here

this is the arbour at the registry and council offices, there was a wedding party having their photos taken but they were on the green so I wasn't really interfering with them it's always a pretty place but I haven't photographed it in autumn before there was also a lot of roses still in beautiful bloom too

Thanks ladies.. October is a good month for me to catch up. I have a crop next Saturday, am going away for a week to Fueteventura and also have a retreat at the end of the month too.
My sister and I are going to have to address that when the time comes too Ellie.. if she keeps falling she will have to go into care..but we all want to avoid that at all costs at this stage. The trouble is she is still mentally so capable and so really understands all the pitfalls of going in to care.
    Lovely arbour and statues everyone.
Looking forward to the new challenges tomorrow.

Do you know what is actually causing her falls Elaine? Is it her blood pressure dropping, is she unsteady for some reason. How old is she again? Gosh, my mum would be saying to me 'she' is the cat's mother.

    Lol.
She has just lost her balance. Whenever she drops something, she bends down to pick it up and over she goes. She has carpet burns over her face and nose as she slid along the ground as she fell! Her BP is excellent for her age (87) but she is diabetic, has severe anaemia (is currently having fortnightly hormone injections), heart failure and kidney failure. When I arrived this morning, the first thing I had to do was dress two of her toes as she had cut them badly (she didn't know how) but she didn't even know she had done it as she has no feeling in them because of the diabetes.

Oh dear elaine, it’s so hard isn’t it. My mum still hates being in care, and says every time we visit ‘take me home’
I feel so guilty but there’s no way we could manage her full time. She is still mentally all there and is trapped in her body as she can’t speak very well now, and can’t walk or do anything for herself. She has always been so independent and finds it so frustrating having to rely on others for absolutely everything.

Great final photos, sorry I dont have any more to share. Look forward to new challenges tomorrow

Forgot to mention how fabulous those photo's are. What a lovely spot for wedding photo's Mary and you can only see how big the water feature is when you notice the little boy. I left my camera at home again yesterday, I was kicking myself.

Here is the one I was supposed to be getting all month, I downloaded the image in the end, Eleanor Rigby.

Fabulous photos Mary. The arbour looks lovely for wedding photos.

Susie, love your statue of Eleanor Rigby. I do love that song.
I just looked it up, and I didn't know it was designed by
Tommy Steele. You learn something new everyday.
Whether you remember it or not, remains to be seen

I didn't know that either Ellie and had to laugh at the bit about remembering or not.
