Beautiful views elaine, lovely to be surrounded by countryside x
Not sure of the cut of meat but the basque use mature beef, at least 6 years old (the waiter said this was about 12 years old) then the meat is aged for some time. I'll attach the menu for the info for you

    Thanks for that Alison.
    It looks really interesting.
For a minute when I read your post, I thought that you
meant the steak was 6 to 12 yrs old....
Then I saw that you meant it was the cows that were that old!!!!!
    Was it tender?

I thought that too Ellie. Thanks for the menu Alison, I checked last night and we have very good Basque restaurant in the city centre it seems. Is it spicy or garlicky as I can't eat either sad to say. I like garlic but it really doesn't like me.

Elaine, your view and garden is stunning and it isn't small, compared to ours anyway. As for the drive, remember, you can't make an omelette with breaking eggs, it will be worth it when it is finished.

I have some photo's to share but nothing as pretty as that view.

That is a lovely view Mary. You could try photoshopping them out of your picture or use the clone tool, you're very good with that, but sadly we can't clone things out in real life. What are the hills in the background, is it somewhere in particular IYKWIM?

nowhere special in fact it is looking towards the rougher part of town but there is a lot of trees in between

I have some more photos this evening of my more cuddly cat she came for a real cuddle this time. The lighting isn't very good but I just wanted to capture this moment

Lovely photo's Mary. I love the way on the first one you both appear to be looking at the camera and the second looking at each other.
