Oh yes, I remember the L-shaped positioner. I had a SU stamp positioner for wood mounted stamps but it was just such a faff to do and I only have a few wood mounted stamps that I rarely use now as things are just so much quicker and easier with clear stamps.
One of the best purchases I made to go with my Misti was a pack of assorted quilter's plastic templates from amazon. It had 4 gridded sheets in it and one I cut to a 5x7 card and another to just 6x4 and I will eventually do a US A2 format template, but the ones I cut do me just fine for those. From the clear plastic sheet in the set I've cut one the size of the foam pad in the misti so I have a wipeable surface protecting the grid paper inside my Misti. These grid templates are the foolproof way for getting greetings lined up perfectly and I think Sharon has been doing the same and shows it in her video if I recall.
It's funny how much these positioners have really revolutionized stamping for crafters - I know it didn't originally start with the Misti and you can do your own DIY versions and now we are lucky to have a good choice of options and price points on the market but having started with the Misti I've not looked back, that one just happened to be what was available at the time and I've really enjoyed using it.
It's also saved the odd project being able to go back in and restamp when an impression hasn't come out fully.
Another thing that has really made a difference for my stamping is having the Lawn Fawn stamp shammy to clean my stamps. I used to have to periodically scrub them clean in the bathroom sink as using baby wipes (even good quality non-linty ones) and a stamp scrubber still left them a bit unclean over time. But the stamp shammy really cleans them up nicely and you just need to wet it with water to do the job. I think you can get the same results cutting up a shammy from the car care aisle, but again this just happened to be on my wishlist and I got it. I only use baby wipes on stamps to get high staining ink off first before cleaning with the shammy, so versafine or Hero Arts ink, I wipe off with a baby wipe first and then clean with the shammy and it's perfect. Same with Distress Oxide inks. You'll always get inks that stain your stamps, but with the shammy it will clean loads of stamps before you need to go rinse it out and it cuts down on the amount of cleaner/babywipes I get through.

Anyway, that's it for my enabling today. Going to go to my craft desk and put that into practice.

But before I do, that's a lovely take on the prompt Ellie! Really like the texture of the background.

Lovely card Ellie, have you coloured that background yourself?

Nat, thanks for all the tips, and enabling . I need something to clean me, I always get ink over my hands then manage to smudge it somewhere on my project !

    Thanks Alison.
Yes I sprayed it with blue mist, then embossed it, and
then rubbed a silver stamp over some of it.
Mounted it on silver card so it showed through the die holes.

I know this isn't the right colour, but I wanted to
show you this card. I made it for my friend ,who's
had a slight heart attack, and is in hospital.
I used one of Susies die cuts.

Lovely card Ellie, is that a touch of Kaisercraft sneaking in or am I wrong? I've made a sympathy card but it is a printed one, in the hope that I won't be needing it. I find when I have sympathy cards made I don't need them, at least for quite a while. But the moment I don't have one in, I need one.

Nice that you could use the little Spellbinders die cut.

I do hope your friend makes a full and speedy recovery.x

Yes, you are correct, it's High Tea again.
She loves her cup of tea.
Yes thanks, she's ok. She lives in Windermere, and the nearest
heart hospital is in Blackpool, so they sent an air ambulance for her, and
she was in hospital 21mins later... Amazing job!
She had a stent fitted that afternoon and was sitting up in bed later
in the evening. A very lucky lady.

That is amazing, what a fantastic service, we are so lucky in this country to have the care we do, no wonder our NHS is the envy of the rest of the world.

This is the heart embossing folder and stamp, I mentioned Susie.
You can't see the little blue stones in the small flowers on the heart, very well.
I haven't put it onto card yet, because I have to order some.

There is a little bit of blue on it, I think it fits the challenge.

OMG as the kids say, that is stunning Ellie. When are we having an embossing swap, can we, can we, can we, please mum!

Which embossing folder is it and which stamp, does it come as a set? How did you get your stamping so crisp?

Susie, yes of course we can have a embossing swap, can I finish my die cuts first !!
I've got some embossing folders, not sure how card related they are, will have to check them out.

I've made a birthday card, using navy again, just waiting for it to appear on my iPad
