Oh I've only just seen this and I was laughing at the irony of having Lucifer Montbretia in a churchyard! We have it in our garden but it needs to be moved as it isn't flowering, too shady. Such a beautiful plant though.

I noticed that the Hostas in your photo's aren't being attacked by slugs or snails Ellie. Lovely photo's are they all plants in your garden?

Great prompts Denise, and nice set of starter pictures.
I know what I'm taking a photo of tomorrow, I have found something very British here
Your garden looks lovely Ellie, I hope my garden has survived while we've been away, I did tell the kids to keep watering but I fear some things will have been missed
    Mary, love that montbretia
They have also let one of the hens sit on some eggs, so we should have some chicks in a couple of weeks !

That will be a nice homecoming Alison, stash and chicks

Yes Susie, they are all flowers from my garden, and there are
a few snail bites on some of them, but the frog keeps them down.
I'm always finding empty snail shells around the garden.

How lovely..looking forward to seeing the chicks Alison.
Pretty flowers Mary..and brilliant prompts Denise.
Summer for me this year has been dominated by celebrations.. Weddings last month then on Friday we went to a black tie garden party and last night a Summer celebration party, a number of our friends have had special birthdays or anniversaries this summer so they all clubbed together and had a summer party. We were celebrating 60th birthdays, 70th birthdays, 75th birthdays and Ruby wedding anniversaries! What a night. Unfortunately after the stressful day I had yesterday I arrived late and forgot to take any photos but here are a couple from Friday nights summer party..sorry about the angles!
