Exclamation The 2017 Pantone card challenge - July

    Morning all!

It's July 1st so the Pantone Spring colours are now being retired in favour of the newly previewed Autumn/Fall colours for 2017.

    Pantone Fall 2017.jpg

You'll notice that it's a similar spectrum of colours but the shades are more subtle - there's still plenty of summery inspiration to be found here before we get to the cooler months of the year.

As always additional hints and tips are included in my monthly blog post - here's the one for July.

The full instructions and details for this year's challenge can be found here in the January post.

And past prompts will be listed under the tag 2017 Pantone card challenge on my blog.

Also for those of you on Instagram, I'll be using the hashtag #2017pantonecardchallenge to share my projects there, so feel free to use this tag on Instagram as well!

So on with this month's Pantone colour...

    Ballet Slipper

    07 - Ballet Slippers.jpg

I know we're on a roll of pinks as our inspiration - but this month try to work with this particular shade of pink and match it with other complimentary colours like mint, metallics, even grey and neutrals. If you prefer you can focus on other colours but use Ballet Slipper pink as your contrasting pop of colour.

    Enjoy!

I have to be able to do something with this, they are all my favourite colours together! I do prefer my greens a bit fresher but we'll see. Thanks Nat.

I don't think I need any encouragement, Susie
I can do it all by myself.

Terrible isn't it all this craft stuff and so much to buy, I think we'd be quite rich if I didn't keep buying stash - "but would you be happy?" I hear you say!

We always need more stash. I have ordered a few bits to greet me on my return home ! I needed some stuff to get a baby book started for DIL so I needed it

This months colours are lovely, and will be great for the 2 cards I need to make as soon as we get home. I'm sure I can find something close to those colours in my stash

Morning..beautiful colours to work with..thank you Nat. I don't 'need' and cards this month but I'm sure I'll come up with something? Maybe I can make a start on my Christmas cards? Lol I'm sure I can work pink and mint into some Christmas cards somehow?

That was quick Elaine! I was all ready to post that this combo would be perfect for Christmas and there's your lovely card. You've reminded me that the Sugarplum collection from MME would work great for this challenge as well.

But I've gone with my original plan to use inks to make a floral background:

Instead of the gold I interpreted that as peach and used silver and grey as my neutral tones to bring it together.
