Offset in v 4
Previously, in v 3 I have always been able to do a very slight offset on text to "thicken it up" and make it easier to cut. I've noticed in v 4 it is not possible to do this, the smallest offset being 50 whereas I want to do 10 or 15 at the most. Has anyone any suggestions as to how this can be achieved please? I've been racking my brains but can't think how it can be done. Any suggestions gratefully received.

Sylvia I'm using version 4.0.837 which is the latest version and I'm using inches. What I did was click offset and it came up with the size in the offset widow in the first screenshot (0.125)
as is.jpg so I clicked the down arrow where it says 0.125 until it said 0.000 then I typed 0.010 I did the same again but typed 0.015 and in the second screenshot is what I got (top one is 0.010 bottom is 0.015)

I do it almost the same way as you Doreen, but have found that if you just click on the measurement you can type in what you want rather than using the arrow to lower the size.

I tried that Sue but some reason it wouldn't work for me that way

Oh thank you Doreen - I have now managed to do what I wanted but its not as easy or straightforward as it was in v3. When I took the setting down to zero then typed in .015 I kept getting another outline exactly the same size as the original. I'm not quite sure what I did to get the offset I wanted, I will have to have a good go at it tomorrow and see what happens. Thanks so much for your help Doreen.

I agree it's not as easy Sylvia

I have also found the offset a bit troublesome in V4. Mine keeps doing double offsets? Not sure why it does that but i have found if i delete it and try again it then works as it should.

Have just read that this is an issue being dealt with. Mean while
• If the Offset is giving you fits here's the workaround: use the offset tool on the right sidebar > manually type in your desired offset distance > click 'Enter' on your keyboard rather than 'Apply' in the Offset panel.

I did wonder about that but didn't actually try it. Thanks for the information

Thank you for this - just tried it and it works a treat! I've spent a long and frustrating time trying to get my tiny offset so its good to know that this issue is being dealt with.
