Not sure what you mean "calibrate the print and cut feature" can you explain a bit more Barbara or tell us what you are wanting to do

Barbara if you are using Studio V3 click on the last icon on the top right (a Cameo). On the next screen right click and a box appears. Scroll down and click on calibration. The calibration page appears. Click on print test page.

Thanks Magaret.....no wonder I didn't understand I've never had to do that with my machine so wouldn't have been any help

The latest version is 4.0.820 Barbara. Have you tried turning everything off unplugging everything and leaving it for a while including your pc then plugging it all back in and starting again to see if that works if it doesn't try another usb port.

If the problem continues please try going back to v3 to see if the machine connects again with that version. There is nothing in v4 that I'm aware of that would cause connection problems so it would be worth rolling back to v3 to confirm if this is specifically a v4 problem.

Before going back to v3 try this. Open v4, go to Edit menu > Preferences > Advanced and click the 'Restore Factory Defaults...' button, then click OK. Then close the software down and restart it, then give it another try.

Barbara you have to uninstall V4 and install the last V3. It is on the Silhouette software page under legacy software.

I always download and 'save as' each version of Studio and put it in a folder in my documents named Silhouette Software. Then I double click to open it. Advantage is if I do an upgrade I have problems with I can always delete and go back to that folder and reinstall which ever version I want.

Are you having calibration issues? And if so, can you describe exactly what is happening?

Make sure your Silhouette is plugged in and switched on. Then in the new v4 software, select the SEND tab and then right-click on the image of the machine (I've marked it with a red 1.), then select Calibration (2.) and then click on the Print Test Page (3.).

You can also find tutorials on how to calibrate the machine by going to the Help menu > Tutorials and then viewing both the 'Calibration - Print & Cut' and the 'Calibration - Distance Adjustment' tutorials.
