Power Cut whilst working with Cameo 2

    Good Evening,

Wonder if anyone can give me some advice please. I was working on a pattern early today and had a power cut lasting for approximately 2 hours. When the power came back on I tried returning to the silhouette to continue working and unfortunately it's just not playing nice. Keep getting a message about sending a report to help sort problem, then comes up with error sending so close without saving and try to open the work with no luck?

Anybody any suggestions please? Thanks in advance

Have you tried turning everything off including your pc, unplugging everything then plugging it back in and restarting to see if that helps

I would suggest the same as Doreen, maybe something has gone slightly adrift when the power went and then came back on.

    Hello Ladies,

Thank you for your suggestions, I've tried doing all of those and nothing is making any difference. I've been working on some wedding invitations and I'm wondering if I uninstall the app and reinstall, will user files still be there please?

    Thanks again

Have you tried using different cables to connect everything in case the power cut caused it to blow somewhere? Don't know if that would make a difference.

From your description it sounds like the power cut may have caused a corrupt preference file which is then crashing the software when it starts to load. So I would recommend resetting the preferences to try to resolve this. You can do that by downloading and running my pref reset tool from the link below then pressing the big button that appears:

    Preference reset tool

After doing this please open Silhouette Studio and see it if then works for you.
