    Help please, touch screen on my new Cameo 3 not working

    Hi all, not been on for a while but after many personal problems I am actually back crafting and hubby bought me the new Silhouette Cameo 3 for Christmas. Had played with the print and cut which is awesome then had a couple of days off. Just switched it back on to find that my touch pad appears not to be working. This is preventing me loading my media etc. I started the cut to see what would happen and managed to feed the mat and media into the machine. The cut is perfect but now on the display screen i have the Job Summary displayed and when I touch the "continue" button nothing is happening. Can anyone advise of what my problem is?

    Ah ha! problem solved. You must have to unplug the data cable as well if you have been powered down for a while. Unplugged everything and then reassembled and all seems to be well xx

    You shouldn't have to do that - is your firmware up to date it should be V1.40

    Shirley was referring to the firmware Craftyhels not the software

    Craftyhels I don't think the firmware in your Cameo 3 is V1.40. I bought my Cameo 3 in October and first had to update the firmware to V.1.30 and then in December Silhouette released V.1.40 so I updated it again. As Doreen says it is not a software update for Studio but an update to the inner workings of your Cameo 3. It is supposed to fix problems with the slow transfer of data via Bluetooth and other fixes.

    The firmware V.1.40 is available from the Silhouette download page and it is important to follow the instructions. It does take about half an hour to install.

    Hi Sorry I'm having this exact issue, how did you fix it? The touch screen isn't registering touch at all, and I'm desperate

    All Cameo 3 users really want to be on firmware v1.40. Other versions all have some issue or other. Once updated, if the touchscreen still doesn't respond then please contact us at support @ graphtecgb.co.uk with your machine serial number and we can help get the problem sorted.
