For anyone who bought the Mint machine recently

Lisa AKA Craftfairy said they've been dispatched without the Uk part of the power lead but the that part has been dispatched today she also said while you're waiting you can use the back part of your Silhouette machine lead in the Mints adaptor

Lisa thanks for offering to check but it arrived this morning. According to the tracking it did not enter the Hermes network until the 8th May. That was Monday yet I had the confirming despatch email from C&C on the 4th May.

It is annoying with C&C that the tracking link is no longer in my account. For years it was but last year they stopped that and they send you an email with the tracking link once you have received it.

It came in a big box which probably would hold at least six of the Mint boxes.

Now that you have it, and the right plug, I hope you like it!

So do I. Trouble is we are going away tomorrow for a long weekend so will be next week before I can play around with it properly.

How long before you have to return it if you aren't happy?

I think it is 2 weeks. Unfortunately C&C are not doing the Asda returns like Ideal World. But when I returned some shoes to Ideal World at our local Asda Ideal where not on the list on the checking in machine but C&C were. So the helpful young man put it through as C&C and they did reach Ideal World for my refund.

Does the Mint software come with free files? When I connected my Mint it did not add any, Not sure if that is because I imported my Cloud files into the software first on Monday? Not that it added all of them. In Studio my Cloud has 715 files yet the Mint software only has 624 files. In Studio that excludes my old Cameo files, Cameo 3 files and Curio files. All my files total 976. So I am really confused. Think I might have to export the files back, completely delete the Mint software and reinstall it tonight. At least our caravan is almost packed ready for tomorrow.

There were definitely some designs included . Perhaps Craft Fairy will know whether you have got them or not.

I found them after uninstalling the software and using the CD to reinstall.

What do you find is the best smallest size font to use? I have made a file up ready but don't want to make the stamp if the font is too small. I am using the Lemon & Honey font size 16 with the rose corner on the 30 x 30 base.

Here is a photo of the first stamp I made with my Mint, it is fractionally over 1 inch wide so the font is very fine. I can't remember what size I used but I was amazed at how fine I could go. Hope that helps.

    Great stamp!
I haven't noticed any problems with font size whatever sized stamp I have made but offhand I can't remember what size I have used , will have to launch my mint later to see if I can work it out. I can usually gauge from the preview how 'readable' any message is in proportion to an image etc.

Sue a lovely stamp. I will just have to make it and see. I just do not want to ruin it as they are not cheap to buy.

That's what I was afraid of as well, but decided to go for it and cross my fingers! Don't know why I was worried, the detail you can get in a mint stamp is amazing.
