Susie, you should do a scrapbook, I'm sure your relatives or friends
would appreciate it, also it brings back memories you might
    have forgotten about.

Elaine, that was a good buy then

I have been to the Range and Hobby craft store today .
Bought a few papers, but nothing much caught my eye.

You're absolutely right, to hell with everyone else, I'll do a scrapbook for us. There is a slight problem, for a number of reasons we've never had a holiday away in 35 years apart from Wales and then we went to the same place on each occasion. It's going to be one very repetitive scrapbook. It will be something like - us in Wales, another one of us in Wales etc... etc... It will have more pictures of the OES than us.

Actually, I have boxes and boxes of photo's and thousands on discs and memory cards, so we must have done something with our lives. Fortunately, it doesn't take much for us to be happy and we have been very happy and we did spend a lot of time with our niece and nephew when they were growing up so lots of trips to Safari Parks and theme parks and so on. You're right, I must make a start on this, my sister would want it and so would her children when we've popped off. Mind you, not planning on going anywhere for a long time yet and hubby has been forbidden to kick the bucket unless I say so!

Nice that your mum's present really did find a 'good' home Elaine. It makes you doubt yourself when you buy something you are sure someone is going to appreciate and then they don't.

I've made another card with the TL die but it is basically lilac so I could post it in the I Made This thread instead. It's the one where the paper went funny with the glue. I've just loaded the photo's so it will be interesting to see if it stands out on the photo.

    Ha Ha, I wish!!!!!
No I made everything else, but not the rose
As for scrap booking, I bet you have got loads of photos of the dogs.
They will take up some pages
Off to look at your card now.

    Love that card Susie.
You must be such a perfectionist. I can't see any bumps!
Is the background embossed, because that sometimes makes what
you put on top look bumpy? But as I say I can't see any

Thanks Ellie. No, it is a flat background but I do know what you mean, I find embossing shows through especially with satin ribbon, I always have to make sure I don't glue it down on the front.

I've just had a phone call from C&C customer services, such lovely people and the lady I spoke to, about something else entirely, said that CS doesn't have much wiggle room, so maybe it does dry quite quickly and on an intricate die such as this one, it is drying before I can get all the glue on.

My bookbinding glue is on the way and I'm looking forward to trying that as it gets all 5 star reviews.

I've printed off pink dotty paper to make another card like that one and then I can pop it on here for this challenge. Then I need to start being more creative with those dies. I've just been playing around with another wedding card but need to get the dogs out before it goes dark. It's so bitterly cold here today and once it goes dark it will be even colder.

The rose was the perfect finishing touch to your card Ellie, whether you made it or not.

    Thank you Denise and Susie.
Hope the bookbinding glue comes soon. You will have to tell us
    what you think to it.
Where did you get the Happy Anniversary die from Susie, please.?
I've tried 2 crafting shops , and looked on line, and I can only find one die,
but it was round, and I wanted a straight one

    Too late.. You've been rumbled!

    you're all incorrigible!

Good news from DIL today.. They believe they've got it all and yet they found some tissue that they believe may have mutated into a tumour in a few years..and they've got it out..so she made the right decision in having the mastectomy. She sees the oncologist next to see if they will recommend chemo. All in all a good day!
