Exclamation The 2017 Pantone card challenge - February

    Morning everyone!

We've entered a new month so it's time for a new pick from the Pantone Spring colours for 2017:

    Pantone Spring 2017.jpg

As always additional hints and tips are included in my monthly blog post - here's the one for February.

The full instructions and details for this year's challenge can be found here in the January post.

And past prompts will be listed under the tag 2017 Pantone card challenge on my blog.

Also for those of you on Instagram, I'll be using the hashtag #2017pantonecardchallenge to share my projects there, so feel free to use this tag on Instagram as well!

So on with this month's Pantone colour...

    Flame

    02 - Pantone Flame Scarlet.jpg

Flame is a lush red with warm orange tones, so you have a nice spectrum of colours that would work for this challenge from warm red and dark coral into the orange tones... As you can read on my blog post you don't need to go mad with the red - it can be much more effective as a pop of colour against more subtle tones so there are lots of possibilities!

I look forward to seeing what you make.

    Happy crafting!

To be honest, if I'm in the mood I might be taking my "Flame" red on a Christmas journey!

I like the pink yarrow, very vibrant. As you say Alison, February, Valentine's Day and all that.

I have made a card but when I try to upload it, it's enormous. I can't manage to get it down to a thumbnail.

I use an image resizing app called Image Size..it's free and really, really easy. I tend to resize the image first before uploading then it isn't too big. HTH
    It's a really beautiful card!

Gorgeous card and we can have a good close look at it at that size. That was really quick, I love the image.

Lovely card - and it's great to see the floral option brought to life with a poppy!

    Card challenge

I made this valentine card today, with accents of red.
    I wanted a vintage feel.
Only trouble is, now that I have made it, I will have to send
it to my beloved, and we don't do valentines cards

You nailed the vintage feel, that's a beautiful, feminine card, very reminiscent of the original Valentine's Day cards.
Nat, I have a weakness for poppies and could probably do a different card each week of this challenge with poppies but I shall try and do something else instead.

Thank you. Yes it's very feminine, I don't think DH would appreciate that

I love poppies too. Must find my stamps out.
