    New camera

I have a good camera but I need something more compact yet still powerful. I want to be able to slip it into my handbag which is a decent size, not a tiny thing. I do have a Fuji which was my first digital camera and it took super photo's and is still working but not enough pixels or optical zoom for what I want now.

Do any of you have suggestions of makes and models that are good. I know some of the phones have decent cameras in them now but I think I'd prefer to have this as just a camera. It would probably be cheaper to buy a small decent camera than to get a fancy phone which I don't really use anyway. My Nokia for 9.99 serves me well enough.

I'd be grateful for any ideas.

I think you should buy new camera. Perhaps you will help to decide to become a relonch camera review which I recently found on fixthephoto.com. I hope you like it!

Oh thank you for that but I bought the camera back in January. I ended up getting the Panasonic TZ70 which works well in low light conditions, handy for churches and indoors as flash can be a bit harsh. Mind you, I was speaking to someone who had a tiny pocket camera at the weekend, a Sony Cybershot with a view finder and he paid 22 at the camera exchange. I know where I'll be going next time.

I'll still check out the review though, thanks again.
