Off to New York in a weeks time. Are there any scrapbooking/craft shops or do the big stores like Maceys and Bloomingdales have paper raft departments?

There are a couple of michaels stores there. You can find the addresses if you google

There are two Michaels stores, one up on Columbus Avenue (to one side of Central Park) and one down by Macys. A taxi will be needed to the Columbus Ave one, it's one heck of a walk. There are a couple of stationery stores around, namely Paper Source and Paper Presentation and an art store called Dick Blick. There is also a stamping store called The Ink Pad (google the ink pad nyc). Tiny, but worth a visit.

When we visit New York we tend to stay just the other side of the Lincoln Tunnel in New Jersey (a short bus ride away). In Secaucus/Meadowlands there is an AC Moore, a Marshalls (like TK Maxx) and a Walmart all of which have provided me with lots of craft goodies.
