PL pages in amongst standard album

Does anyone do this? I'm thinking of combining pocket pages and normal layouts in one album...do you reckon it would look OK? Thinking of some time savers as I have three years worth of scrapping to embark on!

I'm planning on doing this, so far I've only done 1 PL page but with so many little things I want to document that my daughter has done that dont seem to warrant a normal layout I think its a good way to go.

I do this with my holiday photos. Really good ones get the full treatment = 12x12 or A4 and the others go in pocket pges. I think it adds variety and makes the albums more interesting.

I did this for our Silver Anniversary trip album (inspired by Shimelle). I alternated a 12 x12 with the PL page and I was very pleased with the result - it meant lots of little pockets for memorabilia, and made spaces for the less important photos. Definitely give it a try x

I'm using Shimelle's Document 2010 to document this year in an attempt to get some of the smaller memories recorded.
She used a page for memorabilia each month, 2 sides of a pocket page protector (landscape 4x6 - holds 12 photos) and a full 12x12 LO.

I wish I had done this instead of making mini albums of holidays and events I had lots of photos of as they take up loads of space.

I may be able to alter some of them, must have a look.

Yes - I do this. Pocket pages for the everyday and a big 12x12 if the occasion deserves it! I think it looks fine all in together.

I do this all the time now. As someone else said, you can pick one or two standout pics to do a 'full' page on, then the rest just slip into the pockets. The only downside is that pocket pages have two sides!! So you need to either have enough photos to fill both or plan a different pocket page for the second side LOL. For PP's with six landscape 6x4's, I usually go for printing either 10 or 11 photos, the first pocket has either a title or journalling or both, with five photos, then the second side has the other six photos or a title pocket plus five again, depends on the subject :-)

I've recently completed a 12x12 & a PL page to go side by side ......

Havent decided whether I'll do another PL page to go behind this one, or a traditional 12x12, if I choose the traditional then I'll stick these PL cards to a sheet of white card rather than slipping them in pockets

I have done this with my grand daughter Danica ... however my album is one of those ring bound albums and the spine has come adrift from the sheer weight of the pages. I'm now at a cross roads as to whether i continue working in 12x12 or whether I go smaller ... but if smaller, what is the best size of album to buy and are there plastic wallets to buy to match the album?

I use to have Danica three times a week and then after 2 years it became twice a week and I made a point of only photographing her when I had her ... she likes looking at the photos on my phone of her and isn't averse to trying out the camera herself even at the age of 3 of me ... however, she will be going to school in September - doesnt time fly fast? - and i still have 3 years worth of photos to catch up with PL. Just dont want to do the full 12x12 ...
