Post if you are doing PL!

Hi all - just trying to get a feel for whether Project Life is still popular with UKS members. It has been suggested to me that perhaps the Project Life craze has hit it's peak and is on the decline. I'm not so sure, but I figure the best plan is to just ask!

Do you still do it? Do you still want printables for it? Did you like/do the challenges from last year, and if you did them did you share your PL pages, either in the Gallery or in a thread here? If not, why not?

(Sharing in the gallery requires resizing - sharing in a thread means the image will resize automatically to an set size.)

Just considering how best to handle PL - should it stay it's own forum or merge back into the General Scrapping one?

    Have your say!

I only do PL type pages for my holiday albums. I, being very silly lol, thought it would be a quicker way of getting all my photo's done!!!! I do enjoy doing them though.

I love your downloads, MaryAnn, and, if they are applicable, I do print and use them. I don't post many LO's or do the challenges, and I think it would be better for PL to be back in the general forum.

I tend to mix PL pages in with my general scrapping, to display additional photos from events within my albums. My Journal Your Christmas album has Pl pages with regular pages within the 6x8 format, but I tend to add them in the galley rather than here.
Your printable so are great Mary Anne. I have printed a couple of calendar ones to use. Thank you!

I do a lot of Project Life, especially for big events and holidays. I think the printables are great.

I do PL but don't think I have used any of the printables. I would love the challenges to continue through 2016

this will be my fourth year of doing a monthly style project life album. I use the simple stories snap album one of the small ones not the large 12x12.
I found its easier to keep up with a monthly one.

I do a mixture. I don't seem to be able to stick with just PL pages, so I have 12x12 pages mixed in amongst them. I haven't seen your printable, but have used ones from other sites before so I will take a look.

I've just started combining PL style pages with my usual 12x12s. Printables are always handy, especially when 3x4s so I can get them printed along with my photos.
Always happy to give a challenge a go.
Personally I think it would be easier to keep PL seperate, as in easier to find, join in etc

I do a sort of PL, one album mostly for one of my dgs, and one for me. Thank you for your lovely printables MaryAnne, I have used a few!
I would prefer a separate thread for PL so it is easier to find.

My PL is based on the format Shimelle gave us for Document 2010 - I've done one every year since except that I now use the Snap 6x8 albums as I find it easier to keep up with that sizea nd I do two LOs per month instead of having an envelope on one.

I've not followed the PL threads in the past, I'm really not sure why! I love printables

Maybe we should call it pocket scrapbooking rather than PL ? I Think many of us use the pocket style pages within our albums, without doing full blown PL.

I personally don't use printables very often as my printer is rubbish, but they are a great idea and inspiration.

I would like more inspiration for the pocket style pages I do find them quite challenging to get into

Hi. I've 've not been around on UKscrappers or any forums for that matter for many years. I have concentrated on 12x12 LOs until medical stuff got in the way. As much as I still love my 12x12 LOs I can't do them at the moment. That and now having problems with my memory I started doing PL last year on a monthly basis. Due to health, life and needing photos to be printed I've yet to finish 1 month! (Thankfully a journal with monthly events and photos all labelled I'm hoping to get 2015 finished)

I stopped posting layouts on the Internet a few years ago. Combination of hassle of taking photo, download onto computer then onto Internet and the privacy thing.

I haven't looked at the printables so will do that.

It is great to have a special PL forum. Agree that maybe calling it pocket scrapbooking would be better so that people think of other companies/systems as well

I am trying to make pockets mini layouts on thought/event etc so adding embellishments etc. And am doing PL again in 2016 on a monthly basis hopefully more successfully as I have tried to look at my process how it can be improved etc.

Sorry for long post. Not sure if any of this is of help at all!

Yes, I do think PL has become a sort of shorthand for pocket page scrapping, like Xerox for photocopy. Maybe Pocket Page Scrapping should be the forum title. I wonder.....

    What do you think?
