    September 2015 Simple Recipes

    Hi!

Another month has flown by and we're into September so it's time for a new Simple Recipes Mood Board!

This month I've picked out some autumnal colours with a twist so we have a lovely deep forest green mixed with deep plum purple but to lighten those up I've added a bright aqua and a rosey blush/dusky pink.

The technique this month isn't a video but instead a link to a tutorial and template to make some fabric leaf embellishments. If you have a fabric stash then obviously you can go ahead with using that but I did also think it could be a technique used with patterned paper too and a good way to make embellishments from your scraps. Leaves are so easy to cut out from patterned paper scraps and add a bit of stitching for detail or even just scrunch them up once you've cut them out and ink around the edges and over the top where the creases have formed an hey presto, super easy embellishments that you can bunch up on their own or with paper flowers and use on a layout or my absolute favourite for this time of year an autumnal wreath for home décor.
What ever you're making this month have fun!

Press here to download the September Simple recipes Mood Board Project

The project is in universal PDF format so you can download it to view it on your PC, smart phone and/or tablet device, (I store mine on my Kindle Fire Just access this page on your chosen device, press on the link above then choose to save the download when prompted.

P.S if like me you've upgraded to Windows 10 I'd recommend uploading Adobe DC which you can get for free from https://get.adobe.com/uk/reader/

here is my interpretation of the challenge, I didn't use the sketch but I did punch lots of leaves (used just 9 though) and did faux stitching in a circle around each cluster of leaves
