When UKS completes it's move to the new server it is my plan to make two changes to the Marketplace. Apologies for the lack of approvals recently. I had planned to suspend the MArketplace until after the move, but in all the chaos it slipped my mind.

The changes are fairly major:

First, the posts will no longer need approval.

and

Second, replies will be allowed.

We think this will be more useful and are willing to test the theory out.

As a side note, you are welcome to offer giveaway items as well.

The clear warning will be made even stronger, that the Marketplace should be treated as akin to a notice board in your local POst Office. It is a service UKS offers to members. We are not responsible in any way, and all sales, trades, etc arranged thru the Marketplace are the sole responsibility of the two parties involved.

Before arranging a sale, check the Trader Rating. Check to see how long the person has been a member of UKS, and how active a member. Arrange for payment and mailing that can be tracked, in case a package goes missing.

If you want greater protection, use eBay, where buyers and sellers have both arbitration and compensation available to them.
