I'm a mostly white (or cream or kraft) with the occasional black background person given a preference. Although I do sometimes also use patterned paper as the background. Having the coloured cardstock in the kits is a challenge - but usually in a good way as it makes me leave my comfort zone

I bought a 50 pack of AC white cardstock from a discount store, so I think that tells you I like white!

I do like the paler colours and neutral shades of cardstock that have been in recent lite kits. However, I find I struggle with dark coloured cardstock, it always seems to overwhelm the page

Does anyone use coloured cardstock for things like die cutting or cutting with a Silhouette? I think I'll stick to using white and neutrals in kits but add at least one sheet of colour just to have it there as a choice.
I do think with colour card you don't always have to use it as a base it could be used like another patterned paper or as I say used as a sheet to die cut from or cut out other basic shapes like tags for journaling? I know most people hated that electric neon card we had in last January kit but when I put that in I did it thinking it was one of the least expensive bits in the kit so it introduced neon, (which was an upcoming trend at that time) but in a small way so you could use it to cut up and just have really small bits of it to experiment with?
When I do research on card colour matches maybe I could add that info to the blog or to kits some how too so that if you did want more cardstock in a colour at any time for a layout/project you'd have a place to start?

I like coloured card stock as well as white and neutrals. I sometimes use it as a border or as a Matt for photos. Like you say - a cheap way to add some colour!

I rarely use my die cutter, only got a small amount of dies. I do hand cut out stuff though too and punches are good for basic shapes like circles.
I'll have to do a idea post about using coloured cardstock for not just bases.

Should be next week, just waiting on the Simple Stories I Am to come in. There's some sneak peeks of kits as they are, (minus the SS that's not yet arrived) on the CT facebook page, http://www.facebook.com/craftytemplates

I'll be sending a message out over the weekend as I've got some restocks to add to the extras shop too.

Another lo using lite kit - thought I might struggle to use the vellum (a little out of my comfort zone) but really enjoyed it in the end! (Journaling not done yet as I need hubby's memory!) I didn't do as many 12x12s this month as I've started weekly pl but found the kit perfect for that too. The Elle studio stickers were ideal. I've dismantled the kit ready for the next one!

OO you have been busy these look lovely!

I'm so sorry about the Jan/Feb kits being a week late everyone. It's kept everything in limbo with the Simple Stories being later than scheduled. It's driving me mad that they're not here yet and I can see other retailers getting theirs in now. Grrrr

So I think I figured out why I lost my mojo. I don't actually get any scrapping time and the room my stuff is in.is still unfinished 3 years later. I started project life and stalled after three weeks
