I made this quick card for my nephew.
First I sprinkled Brushos on the white card..left to dry. Then stamped the goose and reeds on top. Matted on navy card..took about 2 minutes plus drying time. Handy to have those in..I’ve done about 12 backgrounds just need to mount them now.
Beautiful card Elaine, your friend will be delighted to receive it. Great minds and all that, I've just been heating embossing on vellum and cutting the flowers out although I haven't decided what I'm going to do with them yet. I'm not much of a one for fussy cutting but vellum is quite easy, especially because the heat embossed edge gives a nice line to cut around. Hubby loves them so can't be bad.
Gorgeous card Elaine for your friend
Was going to ask if the goose reeds all one stamp but can see now by the combination that different
we dont call you speedy for nothing
I been playing too but only got as far as a little stamping its much easier I find using the old wooden stamps I must get a stamping platform for the others method in my madness as never have the right size block
Productive as ever Elaine ! Beautiful cards. L
I was always tempted by that goose stamp as we get a pair of geese visit every year but never got round to it, I did get a similar set recently with a cockerel so may steal your idea. A batch of birthday cards in hand would be good to have alongside the mounting pile of Christmas cards
Have you made the floral card with a stamp too ?
Yes I did use a stamp for that too Alison. It is another SU one called Birthday blooms. I stamped the flowers all over the background then stamped a few more out and fussy cut them then layered them on top.
I'm getting quite a collection of 'spare' cards now but most of them will be used for the fete in June.
