AJ technique - clear acrylic skins

eI saw a tutorial by Jane Davies for using Slick paints, scribbled on a page protector, then covered with clear gloss gel medium the peeled off when dry to create a clear, cutable acrylic skin. I just loved the technique. So I had a go but changed it up

    1. Pull a Gelli print onto the plastic side of freezer paper. Let it dry.
    2. Coat the print with a thick-ish coat of gloss gel medium and let this dry - it takes a LONG time, be patient.
    3. Once it is totally dry loosen the edges and peel off the skin. You cn now add the skin as is, tear it, cut it, maybe even die cut it, to add it to an AL page or collage canvas.

You can stick it with more acrylic medium, with either the textured side up if the smooth side up. I've seen something about embedding text within the gel and wonder if pulling a print on a bit of text (printed? color copied? magazine pages??) might work as well.
