Have I Got Scrap For You - January 2013
Welcome Scrappers to 'Have I got Scrap for you' a new monthly class for 2013.
Each month I'll pick out a few hot topics, trends or techniques and will showcase some layouts for each of those. There will also be a step-by-step for one of those layouts.
For the month of January we are tackling common scrapbooking New Years Resolutions:
Strategise Your Stash
Starting a year-long project and working with divided page protectors and
Trying something new: scrapping with small prints
There are two PDFs attached, the first is the January class and the second is the January step-by-step. There is a little prize on offer each month so check out the Challenge section of the class to see how to join in with that.
If anyone has any particular topics they'd like covered then please feel free to drop me a PM and I'll see if I can incorporate that into one of the classes.
Happy scrapping xxx

Just read through the January class suggestions and really like the kit making idea, so will take that challenge this month and see where it leads.
Thanks for a great new project, Niki!

Some great ideas there.
I just wanted to say that I use Aldiphotos for my printing and they only charge 34p for a 20x30 which is more or less A4
I also use a free download called Photoscape before uploading to Aldi as there is a feature on there where you can drag and drop photos into different sizes.
Hope this helps someone and I've added your challenge onto my "to do" list.
Thanks for a great couple of PDFs
I got a Pogo for Christmas that prints out 3x2 photos so I'm going to have a go with one of those! Love your example Niki
loved your class.
At Boots you can print 4 3x2 photos or 2 3x4 photos on 6x4 print on their instant printers

Love your excellent ideas about stash! I am looking at the mountain of paper I keep buying but not using, and am thinking it is a fab idea to sort them into kits!!!
I have used mini photos before. My printer can print 9 photos onto an A4 so they come fairly small. I also printed a photo as an A4 and cut it into small squares and that created an interesting effect.
This sounds great, just what i need
I have been making up kits with my stash ever since I started scrapping, by matching up photos to pp and card and storing in 12x 12 jippy bags. The only thing I don't do is include embellies as it makes the baggies too lumpy to store. Sometimes I get another LO from the same kit by adding another photo and card so it works out quite economical.
Love the explanation and instructions you gave and the LO's are lovely. Brilliant first challenge and I will continue to follow in the months to come.
I haven't stopped making kits since Monday! What a great idea this is, I'm discovering papers I'd forgotten about. Now all I need is some pix to scrap.
Yesterday, I did the weekly challenge using a kit that I made on Monday.
I have a Canon Selphy which prints great 6x4's and have just ordered the Canon Pixma to replace my broken down HP printer so that I can print large & mini pix again.
I really enjoyed taking part in this Niki, thank you so much for the inspiration.
Here's my take on it
I didn't have any suitable die cuts so I hand stitched the arrows and stars
fab ideas love the idea of having my own kits ready for inspiration
o have often used little prints that used to come frm a toy camera of my daughters (about 1" square) now just have to go find the camera.
2 weekly challenge, 1 house challenge, 4 LO's,
0 cj pages 1 mini books
Christmas junk journal swap.

Great challenges, I've had a go at the small picture one HERE
Life is a minestrone
Great challenges here Nikki and I have just put together 3 kits in the blink of an eye....why have I never done this before!?!!! Want to upload by kit pics but don't think the gallery is up and running yet is it?
The Have I got Scrap for YOU! gallery is now up and running so you can upload your layouts to it. For those who have uploaded elsewhere, you can either re-upload them to the dedicated gallery but don't worry too much, I'll make sure all that have been linked in this thread already will be entered into the little prize draw at the end of this month's class
Thanks for joining in lovelies xxx
