Linning up embossing folders
Hi I want to emboss a design on to my card with a embossing folder, but I want the design to be larger than it is on a slitghly bigger card . How do I do this without ending up with a line where I lined it up
thanks

Inspire and be inspired
Can you not emboss on a smaller piece and mount it on to your larger card? make it 3D and jump out, or would that just ruin your whole design?
I 'm a very 3D type crafter, so love to make things 'pop' :-/

Hi , I use a rubber mat over the embossing folder but be careful the sandwich is not too thick to go through . i have the grand calibur and put an rasperry embossing mat, rubber mat and plate A goes through ok. hope this makes sense julie

I usually cover the join with a punched border or ribbon? Easiest way!

yes it would ruin the design , but thanks anyway . I will try the ribbon see if that helps also they do sell bigger folders now so may have to have some of them lol

According to Sue on Create and Craft all you need to do is ensure that the embossing folder overhangs the machine slightly so there is no pressure applied to the already embossed part. particraft.blogspot is where Sue's blogspot is I'm sure if you ask there she will explain it much better than I can......

Loves playing with Studio
Why don't they just make larger embossing folders ? 15 x 15cm would do me just fine. I have written to sissix requesting this.
