    making your own spray inks

After treating myself to a spray ink this morning I got to wondering about DIY versions & sure enough found a site demonstrating how it can be done.

All you need are small spray bottles & powdered dye or pigment & water!! I have a set of Brusho pigments so am going to give it a whirl. If you want to look at the site try googling "making your own spray ink". If I'm allowed to add the link I will.

Don't forget to add a 'binding' agent, if the pigment/mica powder doesn't contain one (some gum arabic, will do it) . . . I have also used old, mica eyeshadows to make 'glimmer mists' like this.

water, a few drops of a dye ink reinker, and a half teaspoon of perfect pearls also makes a lovely home made glimmer mist type spray
