    ANFSCD 04 :: Get Ready!

    Welcome to a new challenge for April... it's time for something completely different!

    For this month's page, you will need one large photograph. It can be portrait or landscape, colour or black and white. Make it at *least* an 8x10... my favourite is an A4 print, which will go nearly the full width of the page but leave just a little bit of border - and I can print that on my home printer. (I use the borderless setting to print the full A4 size.) A 12x8 print would also work, and that size is offered at quite a few photo printers. A 10x12 would work in a pinch but not give you much room to add more - especially if it was a photo you didn't want to cover up at all. So A4 is awesome, 12x8 is pretty darn good, 10x12 and 8x10 will work if that's more convenient but you'll need to adjust the tutorial a bit.

    Then to gather your supplies! You will need:
    1 full sheet of cardstock in a dark colour (black, dark brown, navy, etc)
    2 single-colour (or maybe two colours - but not a zillion colours) patterned papers. You won't use the full 12x12 sheet but you will need the full 12" on one side, so I wouldn't go smaller than 6x12.
    1 border option. This can be a patterned paper that could work well in strips, a sheet designed as borders to be cut apart or even a set of border stickers. It needs to be the full 12" page width, though you won't need every single border piece on the sheet, of course.
    2 lettering sizes: small and large. I'm using stickers, but if you prefer to die-cut your title you certainly can - likewise if you want to stamp it.
    & and a handful of brads to coordinate.

    I'm using black cardstock, one yellow patterned paper (Bella Blvd Baby Boy), one aqua patterned paper (American Crafts Dear Lizzy Neapolitan), one border sheet (Cosmo Cricket Circa 1934), small black letter stickers (7gypsies), large yellow letter stickers (American Crafts puffy Thickers), pearl brads (American Crafts - I think I'll just use the yellow).

    Choose your photo and gather your supplies - and I'll see you with this month's twenty step process on the twentieth of the month!

    Very excited over this one! I am resizing some photos now, so one will definitely be for this project - probably a New York bridge I went over for my son's graduation! Thanks Shimelle!!

    I've sourced everything apart from the 7gypsies tiny alphas, so think I might just have to substitute those. Just ordered an A4 print from my son's baptism on Easter Sunday...can't wait to do this!

    I've only just discovered this challenge (and had a go for the March one) and it's such fun! Thanks Shimelle, for putting it together. Now that I know the 'gather the materials' post comes around 10th, I can be ready for 20th's instructions. I'm looking forward to it already!

    I'm sure that I'll be able to find everything I need for this month's project - or a good substitute. I'm assuming that it's okay to add in extras - like flowers, diecuts - if we want to embellish our pages more?

    I've just discovered these challenge too and as a 'returning scrapper', they're perfect to get me back in the swing of things. Will print a suitable photo this afternoon and have a look at all my (very old) scrapbooking supplies!

    Definately! Go for it and make it your own

    I'm going shopping today so proably won't be around for the class when it goes up, but I'll check back in as soon as I get home - have fun all
