    March Project, Step by Step

    1. Adhere the two 4x6 photos to one of the patterned papers and cut to a mat.

    2. Place (do not glue!) the mat in the middle of the page and lightly trace the outline with a pencil.

    3. Stamp near the bottom left corner of the box. A border design works well.

    4. Stamp again at the top right - the same stamp or a different design from the same set.

    5. Further down the right side, add a cluster of images, being sure some of the design crosses the pencil line. It should look like these are coming out from behind the photo mat, not just out in a random grouping on the cardstock.

    6. Cut a 1 inch strip of the second patterned paper and place this at the edge of the stamping at the bottom left and top right corners. Refer to your pencil line to know how much will show once your photos are in place.

    7. Check that you're happy with the placement of that and then adhere the matted photos.

    8. Punch three each from the two punch (or die) shapes you have chosen. (The grey shown here is the b-side of one of the papers I've already used. You can use either side, of course!)

    9. Place the larger shapes off the edge of the cardstock, near the three areas of stamping.

    10. Cut off any excess that overhangs the edge of the page. Add a small stamped design to each if you like.

    11. Top with the smaller punched shape. Pop dots may be useful!

    12. From your third patterned paper, find two or so parts of the design that would coordinate with what you have so far.

    13. Cut these out with scissors. In cutting designs from paper, smooth is more important than close, so try holding the scissors still and moving the paper with your other hand, and aim for the smoothest edge you can get rather than trying to get every single detail of the design completely accurate. (Unless you are a cutting maven and then by all means, work your magic!!)

    14. Layer these under the edge of the photos but over the top of the mat. Pop dots may be useful here too - and you may want to restamp any of the smaller bits and pieces if they end up totally covered by the cut-outs.

    15. Fill the bottom right corner of the page with label stickers. Let the bottom label run off the bottom of the page and cut off the extra.

    16. Place the extra plus another label (or more) at the top right corner.

    17. Write your title on the label stickers. (Check your pen by writing on the waste part of the sticker sheet so you can find something that won't smudge. I used a Slick Writer on these labels.)

    18. Fill in brief details like date and location at the top right and middle right.

    19. Stamp a bit more, off the edge of the page at the top left corner and in any gaps you may have at the bottom of the page.

    20. Add your writing at the top left to complete your page.

    All finished!

So your something differents for this month...
    perhaps the white background...
or the stamping behind the photo mat...
or the mixing stamps with cut papers...
or the lack of any premade lettering like stamps or stickers...

Give it a try and show us your interpretation! Upload it to the And Now For Something Completely Different gallery here at UKScrappers by the end of the month for a chance at a little prize - and to have a bit of fun trying something different in twenty easy steps!

    Happy scrapping!

I managed most of mine whilst my girls napped at lunchtime, a few more tweaks and it will be done. I'm really enjoying doing these LOs thank you.

Thanks Shimelle. This would be a great starting point for an 8x8 album!
