Memory Box Dies

Has anyone had any success in using vellum or acetate with these?
I have a big shot and both just wrinkle when i try them with these (beautiful) dies

This is intriguing - I didn't think acetate could wrinkle!

Are these dies similar to the Marianne ones? I don't have any Memory Box ones although as you say, they're gorgeous and I have my eye on one. Maybe I should try the more delicate Marianne one I've got with some vellum/acetate and report back?

Instead of trying to cut straight onto vellum or acetate, layer piece of paper or light card on top.
This works for me on other dies but I've not tried it with the delicate memory box dies.

I have managed velum with no problem, though it was a fairly thick velum. I would try a piece of paper or fine card along with the velum and see what happens. Wouldn't have thought acetate was a problem though, that has surprised me!

I've heard that using parchment paper between the die and the item you are trying to cut can help if having difficulty. I'm going to try it on my large doily die next time as it's a bit fiddly to cut sometimes. I've only ever had one instance of a vellum producing a bit of a duff cut with a die but I think it was more down to the aperture in the die being really big and the vellum moving when one end went through the machine and cut.
