I'm enjoying thinking of you all racing up to the bin men to stop them taking away an interesting catalogue to be recycled!

I've become a bit of a font-spotter where anything new or intersting goes straight into my ziplock journaling 'stuff' bag. One of the catalogues I've used most often lately was in an expensive children's fashion shop a friend and I were browsing around when on a weekend away. While we were trying not to sound surprised at the prices I spotted the [free!] catalogue and tried to indicate with my eyes that I wanted it. My friend casually picked it up ... and looked interested in it ... as if we were ever going to buy anything out of it!

But it's soooo pretty to look at!

I have been saving old magazines for the last few weeks, so I shall get the scissors to work. Got a few picstures up on the gallery at long last thanks Leanie for your help. Looking forward to tomorrow's prompt.

I have been reading through all the promts and stuff and love everyone's pages and last night I sat down to do some CJ stuff but instead I picked up my very bare journal (only 1 page done) and decided to have a mess about (mess is right ... it looks awful !!) but I thought I would be brave and upload it anyway. I now have 2 pages in my book This one is 'sort of' following the prompts - it is about packaging AND it also has some magazine fonts in Don't laugh !!!

    I think it's a great page - and you're brave to share. It really isn't a mess!

    I love it Nelly!

Seriously, it's great Karen, I like the way you've interpreted it!

I've just finished a Secret Book Swap on another thread ladies, I just wanted to show you my finished book because it ties in well with the 'colours' aspect of what we looked at; I used ******** Up! Watercolour crayons to create the backgrounds - then colourised the digital border elements to match before cutting them out

The eyes on those figures are scary, Leanie! (*hides behind the sofa*)

I've just finished my cool black and silver journal cover and I'm really pleased with it. The silver shapes are embedded, so the surface is completely smooth and flat, apart from the metal letter tags and the embossing. I like it!

Karen the elephants transformation is brilliant.
Leanie your book of secrets is beautiful.
Claudia your black and silver journal is definitely cool, no wonder you are pleased with it!

Claudia, that's cool piecework The eyes were left white to symbolise the purity of the souls underneath the mischeivious masks - but now I'm thinking they're scary too

Thanks Shirley - just left you a comment
