Wow, I've just looked at it - amazing coincidence indeed! I'm adding colours to my list.

Claudia I love love love the 'I've lost my way' page - i think the imagery and the words go so well together - really prompted an emotive response from me. Love the blue one too, but the darker one is my fav

They're just so different , but I love them both- esp the leaf - can I ask how/where you got that?
Love yours too Jill. Lovely colours.
When I first started scrapbooking I kept seeing things that I thought would make wonderful lo's. I'm now doing that with AJs ! Life is just a whole set of inspiration ! Just need to stop daydreaming and get on with it...

Thanks for the nice comments about me pages. I'm feeling happily creative at the moment! I also made a stencil today, so I plan to try using that tomorrow.

Rosie - I'm sorry, I can't remember where I got those big skeleton leaves from. I would offer to send you a couple but there's only 2 left and one of those is falling apart. Sorry : (

    Evening all

A very quick question before I switch the PC off ... the Caran D'Ache neocolours - would the 15 pack be sufficient (for a newbie) do you think or would I be better to pay a bit extra and get the 30 colour set?

    Thanks

Depends how you feel about your budget Kitty, but 15 will be absolutely fine to start with. If you love them and get really into journalling then you could add to them later with additional singles.

I'm having a bit of a play today, and am writing down lists of techniques which I want to use for pages.

I'm thinking of doing ten pages using ten different techniques. I figure that will really keep me busy and be fresh and challenging. (I tend to use the same favourite techniques too often).

I just got really annoyed at my CD player though and whacked it so hard I've hurt my hand quite badly. I hope I haven't broken anything!

I've got a box sitting around of similar skeleton leaves that I've had for years and barely used. I'd be happy to send you a few, if you want?

Thanks so much Ali - I think I have some buried in my stash. I thought it might be a skeleton leaf but wasn't sure. It's a lovely effect.

I just stuck it on (tiny bit of PVA brushed onto the main veins) after the first layer of paint, then painted round it for the next layer of paint, and then over it again with the patterned stencil.

I'm excited-I made my very first video today. It's on my blog-you'll have to scroll down to the second post. I'd love you to take a look. It's 10 minutes-which it how long it took to do my art journal page!!
I probably should have cut the length of the video a bit though-what do you think?
