    I assume it was shirt buttons that were required.

    All these circles to draw

    I wasn't sure how to make circles look like buttons so I've done 2. 1 with a part cutline inside would look more realistic if chalked to highlight/shade the cut, the 1 with 4 holes (more circles) I added a shine, could be left as a hole or made into a paper piecing.

    You can ungroup these and remove the highlights if you only want a plain button.

    this is a gsd files for button

    Additional advice added by Lucille and 2magpies. If you cut this as is all circles will cut leaving nothing but small buttons, alternatives would be to cut the inner circles dashed and chalk the buttons to highlight the circles or as 2magpies suggested use a pen for the inner large circles and only cut the the outer circles and the small holes in the middle
