Glued Up Brushes

you can wrap wet brushes in clingfilm and it stops them drying out?!
I am learning a lot on this forum!!

I do that with emulsion brushes, rollers and pads too Helen. Also, if you line your roller tray with clingfilm (covering it entirely and sticking it down on the back), when you've finished your job, scrape out as much paint as you can, let the rest of it dry completely, untape, roll up and throw in the bin. You get a lovely clean tray ready to use next time. Oh and paint trays can be wrapped tightly in a carrier bag if you need to leave it part way through a project. Anything wrapped well, will keep for about 2-3 days and longer if you're lucky.

I know that's slightly off topic, but you can use the same covering method if you're using a large amount of paint/glue for your crafting too. Just find a plate/dish to cover in cling film.

While I am working I wrap my brushes in a damp baby wipe - keeps it from drying out for a few hours during my crafting session (too lazy to keep going downstairs to wash them over and over again!).

I keep a pump dispenser filled with cheap shampoo in the bathroom to clean my brushes.
Work the shampoo in with hot water and as it starts to loosen up rub well into the palm of your hand. Works with dried acrylic paint or Mod Podge as well.

If I'm doing lots of messy stuff - gluing, painting etc all at once - I keep some cling film handy and wrap any brushes in a bit of that. I know that even if I intend washing them 'in a minute', I'll forget about them just like I do with the dinner, and they'll still be sitting there the next day, solid.

I do the same thing with emulsion brushes if I'm only half way through a wall. It wastes less paint as well.

I do this as well but I always use glue spreaders or an old credit card for glue
