On one of the shopping channels yesterday I saw someone making a 'stationery card' which was basically like an unfolded envelope shape folded in 3 with a wrap around it. Does that make sense?
Does anyone know where I could get a template for this shape card - preferably downloadable
It was actually the card itself Sara. I'll try to explain it a bit more. If you think of a sheet of card divided into 3 equal parts. The middle section is rectangular then the outside sections fold in and are curved so when they fold over you can see a small section of the inside.
sort of but not really
If you take the top flap off, make it more of a long rectangle and curve the side flaps it would be closer
Am I making any sense at all
I found what I was looking for...but don't think I can link here. When the card is closed it is kind of a flower pot shape....is that the one? If so search for pocket card and it will show up I am sure.
Do you mean an envelope card ? Instead of cutting the left and right hand side of the card on a diagonal / you cut the outsides on a curve - I've done this using a plate as a template.
If it is an envelope card, then you can leave it where both sides fold in and open - or - you can adhere them down, and use a large tag as an insert.
ooh nearly there Cal - if you lose the top flap and change both the sides into semi circles i think that would be it.
I'm thinking for wedding invites so the details would be stuck onto the rectangle bit in the middle and a wrap would hold it shut
Lin - thats it - well almost - need the bottom the same as the top - so its not a pocket just a fold. Having seen all these ideas i think I will probably be able to cobble something together now. :thanks;
