    Album for dimensional layouts?

    Hi there,

I have quite a number of 12 x 12 LOs that are quite dimensional and I have tried to store them in an AC top loading album with not much luck - they are buckling.

Is there an album style that I should be looking for that would be good for these layouts?

    Thanks in advance
    Hannah

I use a normal post bound album, but with chipboard spacers between the pages. Works for me.

I've made the page slightly less than 12 x 12 (eg 11.75") to give a bit more space in the protector, to reduce buckling, with a very 'lumpy' LO before now. It still 'looks' 12 x 12 as it fills the protector. I don't think it would work with really fat pages, though.

I was going to suggest cutting 12x12 down to 11.75x11.75 - which I have also done when I've got a bulky LO...................however, that is a very clever idea using chipboard inbetween the spacers - excellent - thanks for that tip.

In cases where I've got LOs that really are too bulky/dimensional for an album, I've started framing them instead. Wilkinsons do a plain wood (which you could stain/decorate/alter if you wished) 12x12 box frame for around £6.75.

Thanks for all the tips. I have some in frames already but at the rate I am producing LOs lately I don't think my house/husband can take any more hanging on the walls!

I got some ring binder albums from costco - I think they might be like the AC ones - but there is definately lots more room in them - though when full they do fill a shelf quicker too

Alipeeps - do you know if the frames are back in Wilkos now...as I have been looking for some more and keep popping in to our local one but they haven't had any in in ages hopefully they have some new stock.

I don't know about Wilkinson's, but they do them in The Range for a similar price if that helps

Could you store them in pizza boxes and change the ones in the frames every so often?
