well behind as usual I bet you are well excited and as has already been said welcome to our peaceful little corner of the cutting world lots of friendly peeps wil a wealth of talent and knowledge to help you get up and running

If I can give you any tips it would be
    • take it slowly and
    • work your way around the software and
    • most important dont sit in in silent frustration if you get stuck - and
    • dont ever think that any question you have is a "silly one" as if you are having a problem others will have either had the same problem or are just sitting wishing someone else would ask !!!
I have some freebie files on my site as do I think some of the other sponsers and there is a sticky with details of who we all are HAVE FUN

    xx

Morning all, Well I had a fun day Yesterday. I have learnt how to do the basic shapes great for layering and to do lettering.

I have come accross a little porblem though. I have so far put through about four sheets to cut and all went well until the last one the mat that you use to put your card through the machine seems to be loosing its tack very quickly and the last sheet slipped when cutting. Do you have any tips to keep it tacky ( i have replaced the backing sheet it came with after every use). I hope I wont need to replace the sheet as often as every few cuts ?? Any advise ??

Morning Sarah. Good to hear you're getting on ok with your new friend.

As for the cutting mat, use a baby wipe to clean off any debris, this should help to recover the stickyness for a little bit, then you can wash with a mild washing liquid, but don't get it too wet, leave it to dry completely before using and finally, you can use a repositional spray to give it back its stickyness. So long as there are no deep cuts in your mat you can do this for a very long time.

    Hope that helps

I had the same problem with my mat but i did as Fuschia said and it was fine again. I have now sprayed with repositional spray and it is lasting like forever lol

    Welcome Sarah and have fun.

The best tip I can give is make sure your family can cook, clean, iron etc. Robo time is precious!

Lol welcome to the forum I have to agree with Sarabee teach the family how to do everything because the robo should have a warning about how addictive it is

Hi Sarah, glad you've been able to use your robo so quickly. I'm fairly new to
using the robo too. I sold my robo a couple of years ago as I just couldn't get to grips with it. But I recently bought another and so far I've had no trouble cutting files - I even managed a print and cut at christmas (haven't tried it since though). Hope you have lots of fun.
