Good for you! The laundry will always be there tomorrow or the next day. Dinner...well, there are workarounds (take-out?). But, inspiration....now you have to grab it and run with it when THAT comes! And it's the best feeling in the world when you create and are happy with it.

If you ever want to come across to me I have a full set of neocolor II crayon, watercolour pencils and inktense pencils which you'd be welcome to have a play with. I use them all in my journals.

    Hello everybody,

what a nice idea this Art Journal and you are all so talented but it is very time consuming when you don't know where to start

It took me almost a week to read the first thread (and thanks God I only work part time ), to then realize that there was another thread of 17 pages and then another thread of 17 pages and then another ... so I must confess I went directly to the most recent now as I thought I get grand-children before I effectively start my first page ...

In between I managed to download a couple of things and have a good idea of how all this works and what I need. I bought a watercolour block to do my own book with my Cinch, some doodling pencils, the rest I should have and hopefully, you should see me around again in a couple of days to start asking all my questions .

Anybody coming to Anneliese's Art Journaling workshop on March 17th? It does say part 2 but you don't have to have done part 1 to do it.

I would love too, but I am 220 miles south

A question: Is it important, when making my own book, if I make it Landscape or portrait? I will Cinch it, so when it's done it's done and if I am supposed to use one or the other direction, I better cinch it that way. Any experience, anybody?

Also what about the page size... before I cut ...

both of these are totoally up to you. Most people use portrait, but it's just whsat you prefer (like size of scrapbooks). I started with a journal 5inches x 8ins, but now also use A4 and 5ins x 3.5. Oh, and I also have A3, although I'm using that for painting atm rather than journalling
