Hougie board or crafters companion ultimate pro board?

    hi,

I am thinking of getting a board for card making, box making and envelope making. Has anyone got either of these boards and which would you recommend?

    Thanks in advance.

Hi Claire, I've got the Ultimate Pro and haven't had a problem with it. The Hougie board is just a scoring board but for versatility I would chose the Ultimate. It is more expensive but you can do so much more with it. I got it as a Pick of the Day when it first came out with the DVD and I have a couple of embossing boards too.

Just seen this post,I don't do much card or box making, but, have seen some tutorials on making paper rosettes using the Martha Stewart scoreboard, which seems impossible to track down hereSo,does anyone know if the Hougie Board will do the same task? have been dithering as to wether to buy one all week-end!

    Hougie or Ultimate Pro

I got the Ultimate Pro and love it. It is so easy to use. If you work through the instruction book you can make a whole lot of different card shapes - and I often use the envelope bit to make a matching envelope. I would definitely say this one first. I did get a Hougie board for christmas but I use it more for precise measuring. Hope this helps.
