For speed and/or bulk A6 is the most economical and quickest, but I like square cards, 14cm x 14cm or bigger if I've got the right envelopes. Quite often it depends on the design of card I have in mind, whether it be portrait or landscape etc. When it comes to landscape designs I have been using A4 cut down the middle with the fold on the left, as tent folds always fall down, but you can only go up to A6 size unless you have card bigger than A4.

    I cut my cards from either 8.5 x 11" cardstock or 12 x 12" cardstock so most of my cards are either 4.25 x 5.5" (US sized), 6 x 4" or 4 x 4". Generally I'm a small is better person.

I prefer square (various sizes) to any other. I either buy ready made with envelopes or make my own from card stock.

Mine are usually about 4 by 5 inch - I like little, odd-sized cards

I'm also loving square cards at the moment, although if i cut a 5" square card from A4 i do make a card with the bit that's left. I haven't actually *sent* any of them yet, so I have no idea what size envelope I'll need.

(I got card-making stuff out of storage, but not envelopes! oops!)

Whenever I am going to make a card I start with the envelope then cut the card the correct size for the envelope. (Well that's the theory)

I do mainly A5 as people never seem to want to buy the smaller ones. I have just got addicted to making pocketfold cards from a sheet of 12x12 so I guess my answer should have been 6x6 inches.
