sad silhouette program and cm's instead of inches?

    hi again,
    Sorry another stupid question.
When I'm using my Silhouette program , the new one, all the measurements are in inches. But I only use cm? Can you change the settings anywhere at all?
    Thank you Cx

    Hi!

No, no question is stupid. Its the people who don't ask who are stupid!

The craftworld is fascinating in this respect - when I stop to think I use inches for scrapping but cm for cardmaking (and have changed my settings on Silhouette to cm too).

If you go to File and look down this list you will see Preferences. One of these is measurements which should get you fixed. You might like to look at one or two of the other options too.

    Have fun!

Thank you so much, I knew it must be somewhere lol.

    I'd just not looked there!

Im planning to make a tissue box cover and as I don't understand inches it was all a bit of guess work :0)

When I work I flip between inches and mm, I'm used to inches and when I see a measurement I immediately know in my minds eye how big it will be, but sometimes I want a really small measurement or really precise and that's when I flip to mm because it's easier than trying to convert eg. 7/16" into decimals.

Don't be afraid to change preferences while working, it won't cause any problems.
