Received an "absolutely fabulous" (and it is too! ) ATC from Sharon this morning - thanks hon! Will be popping yours in the post today.

Can I ask a question? What did you use to make the ATC itself? Is it mountboard? And if s where do you get it from? I like the thicker material, rather than just card...

Glad you liked it. Yes, mountboard, and a sizzix ATC die (that way I don't have to measure). I just buy large sheets of mountboard and cut them up. You should be able to get some from an art shop, or you could try a picture framers, and ask if they have any offcuts?
Amazing to think it was posted all the way down south at 4.30pm, and its with you the following day - occassionally RM get it right

I received amazing ATCs from both Sharon and Gilly this morning. They are all stunning but I think I am in love with Gilly's takeaway lid technique

I cut my ATC shape with a sizzix die in my big shot. But if you are going to cut by hand, then you need a sharp knife and metal ruler/metal edged ruler - it may take a couple of times to cut right through

I tried all sorts of things to cut mountboard and the best thing is the large X-Cut guillotine that cuts 12 x 12 size card. I read it somewhere on UKS, bought one and, trust me, it does work.

Oooo I have x-cut guillotine - might try that and see how I get on - I've made album covers for books using mountboard and just cut by hand (difficult to get it truely square) - so this might be a good option.

Well, I was in hospital over Christmas!

Mia and I had to stay in for a few days - she needed to have antibiotics - so we postponed Christmas (DD1 is too little to know what day Christmas is) and had a belated Christmas day, with presents and champagne and full Christmas dinner, four days later!

Well at least you were in hospital for nice reasons. A couple of yrs ago dh was in hospital over Christmas following a bad car accident - fortunetely for us we managed to get him transferred to a private hospital 3pm Christmas Eve (all very last minute), so Christmas wasn't as difficult as it could have been.
Glad you managed to have 'Christmas' at home albeit a little delayed!

Oooh gosh, that sounds scary. Glad you got things sorted okay.

Christmas in hospital wasn't too bad - on Christmas Day when the day shift of midwives came on duty they came around the ward and gave out a present to every mum and every baby on the ward! How lovely!

Oooh glad you like it! I've had that stamp for a while and it was my first go at using it (and only my second time using ProMarkers!) - as soon as I saw the stamp I thought it was perfect for an ATC.
