I bought a small box as it was all the shop had, but I got extra single colours too. I love them and have used them constantly since I bought them

You can get fixatives for chalk pastels Claire, try art supply shops, they are better than using hairspray (yep, I used to do that as well!)

    Great work Gill!

I've not tried the pan pastels - don't want to, I can't afford to add anything else to my list, or find room for it.

Katie if you scroll back through my blog posts I put some of my early experiments with the water soluble crayons on my blog - that should help as I did stage by stage photos.

Just been enjoying looking at your blog ClaireLiz. I like your Willowing page. I think Tam is an excellent teacher. I was showing my journal to Dyan yesterday with some of the pages I've done from the classes.

Claireliz, your pages look fab, just had a quick look at your blog. Still catching up with my scrapbooking but hope I can do this course later on, your pages have encouraged me to have a go!

Tee hee its amazing how many of us are getting into this journalling thing ... and I've even signed up for the Brave Girls Soul Restoration online course starting in January!! Was given some money for Christmas and I just thought I would spend it on something for ME, and the course seemed perfect. Looking forward to it and it gives me something exciting to focus on in the rather flat time after Christmas! Still not found time to work on any more pages though - writing Christmas cards this afternoon ....
