That's lovely Susie and I'm envious of your super quick work. How did you get the pp's cut so neatly around the drawer holes? I found it really difficult on mine.
I difound it difficult too so I gave up on that idea and stuck with cutting out with my crafting scissors.
I think mine must be one of the fastest decorated house since this thread started - it arrived in the post this afternoon (all the way from Soozee in Wigan - thank you so much!) and altho its not fully decorated, it will suffice for this season
I used some freebie papers from The Scrapbook Magazine, having first painted the drawer fronts and the star with a pale green chalky emulsion - its amazing what turns up in the 'tatt' cupboard eh... a pale green matt paint that goes perfectly with the red base that the house is already painted in.
After Christmas when I'm still in the Christmas mood I'll re-decorate it lol... need to work on the roof and the chimney

Lou, I used a 3/4" circle punch and that seemed to work quite well X

Ah now thats an even better idea - will have to put one on my shopping list!
I'm in deep trouble with this house now, made the mistake of taking it into work so my team can use it - and I've had orders for at least 4 for next year ... so I now need to source more of them PDQ... I can't quarantee that Tesco will do them next year, so whilst they are around this year (if they still are that is lol) I now need 'em...
Soooo, if anyone within a 75 mile radius of London has a Tesco that still has these in, please let me know!
...Weasel AKA Suzie... Wise Weasel Witterings ... Eagles may soar, but Weasels don't get sucked into jet engines!
Just a pondering: Does anyone think that it'd be worthwhile collating hints and tips from this thread into one post etc for future projects/next year etc?
I know that I've found other peoples tips really useful and people have suggested techniques etc after I've struggled with it myself as a beginner. Other things I've noticed and learnt along the way are things like that the star for number 24 isn't actually symmetrical so when cutting patterned paper to cover it, you need to think about which way the pp lays. Obvious to some people perhaps but to a newbie like me, it took 2 goes with the pp!
