Ooo...I love all of your houses everyone...they are all so different and every one of you is so creative. This is a lovely thread.

Sarah... I love your houses - inparticular the 1st one for your dd and the snow effect. I have such puff paint, which I had in mind to use but seeing yours has confirmed my decision.

Thank you all for sharing. I'm gonna be late finishing mine but then I may have a week's choccies to eat all in one day!

I do what I love and I love what I do.

the roof is a mixture of white acrylic paint, pva and white glitter(probably about equal parts of each), then we sprinkled iridescent glitter on top.

thanks for the lovely comments, dd was beaming when she read them!

I think they all look fabulous - and every one is so unique and beautiful.
I finally found time to decorate mine
I like clean and simple so it really is - and probably too plain for everyone elses.
Each drawer is filled with choclates and a thought for the day (I have made it for my husband)

There are lots more detailed pictures and details HERE .

Thank you everyone for the inspiration.

Oooooo! There is so much beautiful work on this Thread! I have just started my house - it's for a 6 month old baby boy so I don't suppose it matters if I don't finish it by the 1st Dec. Keep posting your finished Houses ladies!!

    That is just lovely, Dolly!

Mine just needs its roof and a bit of Glossy Accents then it'll be ready.

the 1st one is for my almost 10 yr old dd, she did this mostly on her own with me just doing the roof painting and covering the drawers with her choice of paper.

the second one is for my 4 yr old ds, he picked the papers and the gingerbread men decorations but was happy to let me do the sticking etc, he also stuck the numbers down himself.

    thanks!
wow!! Im loving these ones very much. Everyone has created something unique and beautiful. I love how you did the roof..can I ask what you used please? WELL DONE!!

Sarah- those are beautiful. I can't believe the children did them, they're that fab!

Loving yours too Dolly. Must get on with mine (can only do it when ds is about cos he likes to take all the drawers out and play with it which isn't helpful when parts of it are wet etc!)

Well I have finally painted my drawers I used a Crown solo tester tube and it was just enought to give them all one coat and they are covered and a quick slick on the roof too
I tried with acrylic paint last night and it was just sinking in
Decided to go with eskimo kisses in the end
