    That's plenty!

Now just grab a couple of photos, start with some cardstock or patterned paper, and then comes the most important bit - PLAY!

    Wow! That's a great start

It certainly looks like you made better choices than I did when I first started out - now for the scary bit - breaking into it & putting glue to paper!!

Good luck, look forward to seeing your efforts xxx

The first page i want to make is one of my cat Pepper i have bought some 3d cat stickers. They are in the pic somewhere. But i dont really have any cat type patterned paper. Id like to have some paw print ones.

Can i make my own or is that not suitable for scrapbooking?

Print something on your computer, it should be fine. Just remember that you can probably only print at A4 size, so you will need to use this patterned paper (PP) on some contrasting or toning background cardstock.

Strictly speaking you should use acid-free products, to prolong the life of your layouts and photos, but you have to start somewhere, and as long as you don't use precious irreplaceable photos you should be fine. It might be an idea to mat your photos onto acid-free cardstock anyway, which does give them a nice finish.

If you want paw print shapes you could find a template on the net then cut it out onto cardstock/patterned paper.

I like those epoxy stickers you have got with the cherries and the flip flops on, where did you get those from?

another tip is not to stick things down till you are happy with it...I wish I could remember that as I rarely do that and then regret it. If you are not sure about anything go away for 20 mins and come back and look at it again. Soemtimes I cannot decide on what paper goes with what so it does help to go and come back.
most important is to enjoy yourself and if possible scan photos first just incase.

I had those stickers with a Card magazine a few weeks ago. It was called Lets Make Cards Magazine.

I'd say you've definitely got enough to start with. I wouldn't worry too much about acid-free-ness to start with. Welcome to the scrapbooking world

That looks like a great starter's stash, you certainly have more than I did when I started. Sometimes just looking at the materials is as much fun as using them.

I think you are breaking her in gently to the whole concept of 'stash stroking' - but I'm sure it'll will come as naturally to her as it does to the rest of us
