I'm hoping if everyone shares their versions in this forum and in the gallery we can all get a shot in the arm to the old mojo. Mine is out sunning itself at the moment, reading a book.....
I presume though that we can collect points for our team's monthly points total?

Here's mine anyway. Loved doing it, can't wait to do the triangular one next!

Of course - it just isn't like a true CC where the members who register are split into teams and there are points for doing the projects. I figure we all have enough going on that we can do without the added pressure, and this way rather than rushing to get done on a deadline you can grab the PDFs or bookmark the link and do them at your leisure But if any quality for team points then I think that should be fine.

I'm looking forward to having a go at these minibooks. I've recently found myself addicted to all things mini, and have been making more and more minibooks! So this is right up my street. Looking forward to joining in!

Glad you like them, but mine are just the pre-event tasters. We have a number of different sorts of books by mostly sponsors, which I hope will appeal. Some are a bit fun and funky, some are very elegant, some have unique elements that you may not have seen before. Some will inspire yo to take the basic info and go off in a different direction. All will be adaptable to bring your own sense of style to them.

Personally I adore making minibooks, and these little projects should be just the thing for summer. They can be as complex and decorated as you like, or as simple, they hold loads of photos so you can get a real sense of accomplishment when you complete one, and the basic books can be pre-made and stashed to bring out when you need a quick but special gift. I often have minibooks made (constructed from card with either minimal patterned paper decor or simply the basic cardstock bones) ready to go when I think OMG! I forgot so&sos birthday/anniversary/whatever. Might be worth considering making a couple you like while the event is going on and you can chat with others and take note of any particular variations you like, even if yo don't have the photos to finish them off right away

I'm going to do Xmas mini books with all these, even though it's a summer event! Start back at work fulltime in September so this is a perfect opportunity to get ahead and use up all that xmas stash I've been hoarding since last year!

    Hi

For those of you with a Robo I have just posted the templates for the round and triangular books. These have the score lines marked as dashed and I have also included the segments so importing a jpeg, resizing, printing and cutting are all very easy and accurate.

I love mini-books - particularly as my DD is more likely to get involved when I do something like that, and have a go herself. It keeps her busy - and more importantly means I still manage to do some scrapping during the Summer Hols!!

    Hi Mary Anne,

    sorry I missed your question:
Suzy I just love that decorative cover. Brilliant. You must give instructions how you did it
I've just come back from a week's holiday in the Isle of Man so have only just seen your question. Making the cover for the squash book was a bit of a trial and error job, but I'll try my best to remember how I did it!

Right, I measured out 2 squares each of both the coloured card I used (2 yellow and 2 green)- about an inch bigger than the finished book. I then glued the 2 yellow and the 2 green together using PVA glue. I snipped the corner off the one I was using for the front to make it easier to slide the book in and out. I then used masking tape on the 2 sides opposite the snipped corner, so at the bottom, to join the 2 squares together. I inked the tape and the sides of the cover and decorated the front.

    I hope this makes sense!

    Hi all

I've made my very first mini book....now onto number two

P.S: Thanks Suzy for the cover inspiration - I cut my on my Cricut using a "Inch Bag" template, then re-jigging it slightly.
