Thanks Doreen, I am thinking of doing a No. card for daughter to give but I am looking for something outstanding that I could then add the Nos to. I do have one simple idea in my head but really want to make this one special.

This link might help you with ideas http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1909. I see that in 1909 Louis Bleriot was the first person to fly across the English Channel.

Or this one for events that happened on a particular day.

    Special Card

For my Dad's 80th instead of an ordinary card I made an 8" x 8" book and used copies of old photo's of my Dad when he was little, his family, his motorbike, his wedding, his war record etc. and used favourite quotes or sayings of his. I also used Wordle (http://wordle.net/) which is a programme you can paste text into and it creates a sort of text design which is excellent for backgrounds. I used words that related to what my Dad is e.g father, brother, husband, grandad etc. and then used words of things or places that mean something to him etc.

He was so thrilled with it and it was passed around at his party. I also left some blank pages at the end to add photos of his party.

Hope this may help to boost your inspiration.

Thank you so much everyone. Sorry I have taken so long getting back to you. But I have had major computer problems. Still loading my old programmes.
