40th birthday invites

I have posted in the invitations category but with no luck so I thought I'd try a new thread. I have been asked to make the invitations for my cousins 40th birthday, it will be quite a fancy party with butterflies as the theme. Any ideas would be grateful. Thanks jo.

Hi Jo,

The forum you posted in is for sharing images of completed projects, so this is the best place to ask questions like this.

I'll go delete that duplicate thread so there's no confusion.

If the theme is butterflies I rather like the Cuttlebug butterfly die that comes with embossing pockets, they can look really swish, alternatively butterflies cut from vellum that are folded slightly and glued on down the middle so they pop off the card would be really eyecatching.

Hopefully some other ideas will be thrown into the mix.

Hi there I have made a card that could be adapted to a 40th invitation and where I have put flowers on the numbers you could put little punched or fabric irridescent butterflies instead! Hope this helps. Here
