    Tutorial Help Required Please

Hi, I am trying to follow Lucille's Making frames using patterns of dingbats on a path tutorial. I get dow to the Effects bit only to find on my inkscape there is no 'Pattern on Path'. I am sure I have the up-to-date version.

I think you might have read it wrong it is Effects > Generate from Path > Pattern along Path.

If it still isn't there I would say re install the program.

Thanks Lucille, I will try installing again. The only options I have are Effects - Generate Path - Blur edge
    Extrude
    Interpolate
Which, may I say, are all double dutch to me!

Excellent, glad it worked. If it's any comfort I don't know much about those other commands either, maybe one day I'll get that far

Hi Lucille, Would just like to say a big thank you for all your help. I am working my way through your tutorials and finding them easy to follow. Today I managed the scalloped edge and lattice pattern. I shown be doing housework but the other is more fun.

Thank you it is always nice to get some feed back on the tutorials, that they work for people and if there is ever a style/technique we haven't covered just ask. Today is my serious HW day, then the rest of the week is easy stuff.

The Spiro tool is only in the beta version of what will be .47, I think I said either in the post or the tutorial that it only works in that or am I getting confused with another tut?
